I just wanna get going, that's all! Besides, I bet there's tons of fun stuff to do in Vegas and all sorts of networking that can be done, too! It'll be fun!

Oh, yeah, I think I got some hot dogs and sandwiches, they didn't have much of a non-gross selection, but ...

[But she tugs holds out the BLT, Ham & Cheese, and chicken salad sandwiches! Among her tiny energy drinks are the two hot dogs and a bunch of condiments, because they didn't know each other well enough to go dressing dogs for one another.

But sleeping together with pretty much nothing between their bodies is cool. Because that's life, apparently.]

[meeeeeeeat. The BLT is pretty tempting too, but he wants to go for the real show stopper on protein.]

[She's holding it pretty carefully because he really can't afford to get stains all over his remaining set of clothes.]

Honestly--I'm pretty picky about meat [duh, she knows that] and these are pretty great. Skin's just chewy enough, meat's juicy, little bit of char...

Yup! We're at twenty-two, so far, not counting state variants or foreign official plates.

[Hey, she can't cook but she can cater! Maybe it's a skill she should leverage, somehow.]

That is an insanely good hot dog, then. I'm genuinely upset that I'm not hungry!

[She'd actually gotten them for him, since yes, she knew Krieg liked meat! She did too but for whatever reason the sandwiches stuck out to her more than anything else.]

We should grill while we visit your sister. [A pause, and then:] And by that I mean you grill, and I'll hand you stuff.

[Hungry and yet she got all this food?

...point taken.]

I'm planning on it. We don't have our own grill yet, though...and I don't know if Izzy does either.

We can fix that. For escaping the clutches of fucked up labels we can gift ourselves with a grill. Maybe not a super fancy one [See, she can be money conscious!] but something to do the job right.

[What celebrates their freedom more than grilling?

We don't really have the space for a "super fancy one" anyway.

[Seriously, those things can get huge.]

I don't really need a fancy one. I like to keep it simple. More fun that way.

[Yeah, there's something symbolic about grills, isn't there...]

[They can be symbolic with Krieg, if nothing else, as simple and fun seems to be his signature, so far. But! Hopefully he's about done with the hot dog just because she can't keep her seat belt on and feed him at the same time.]

See? It all works out perfectly! Since we're probably getting there quite a bit early we'll have time to shop for that, too!

[Her plan is truly coming together, bless the universe.]

I'm inspired today.

[And that apparently translates to extra, near boundless energy! ... The gas station fucking helped too, though, but she's not going to mention that. She does fold up the hot dog wrapper and put it in the plastic bag she's designated for trash.]

Maybe you needed to sleep in, huh? [He has no idea.] Oh, right.

[He hands her a key fob.]

Could you open that and hand me what's inside?

[Now to be entirely fair the sleep was a good part of it! Just not the whole. Upon being given a task she blinks and is about to ask when she goes ahead and does as asked and ... Ah, yeah, pretty self explanatory.]

[.... She kind of holds them super carefully, like suddenly her grip is going to fail and she'll fuck up his schedule or something.]

[It is a difficult task! Some of them are pretty tiny, and some of them are even cut in half. He throws the half-dozen handful of pills into his mouth in one go and washes them down with a gulp of bottled water.]

[.... She's not supposed to worry about this, he's got it, and he's been at it way longer than she's even had a comprehension of taking medicine long term but.]

I kind of want to ask you something, and if it's not okay just tell me.

[So she goes right ahead with it.] What do you do when you run out?

[Like, maybe there are refills and such but eventually that'll dry up and won't he need to see a doctor or something? Which is going to be really difficult to do if they're running around.]

All I have to do is call in to a local pharmacy. My GP is actually in my hometown, so I've never gotten my meds directly from him, he's shipped my scripts to different places.

[A pause.]

You know you don't have to feel like you're walking on eggshells for this stuff. You're living with me now, so you deserve to know about it.

[That's a lot easier than she had thought it might be! Which is a relief.]

Everyone has something they'd rather keep to themselves, I guess I figured that might be it for you.

[But he's right, she knows he is. Leaning back in her seat she kicks her feat back up and grabs her notebook just like before.]

That, and it's not something I've got a lot of experience with. I don't want to say something dumb or insult you.
