[That's not arrogance so much as a genuine desire to comfort herself about the thing. If it doesn't work then what? Is that even a thing you can buy on an island that sits pretty firmly in the middle of the water. ... Although it's not as if Boxer could possibly have too much water.

At least that takes the pressure off, and she leaves her suitcase nearby in order to start digging through his bag.]

Pump achieved! [It's not gonna be hard to find, right?]

[Sure, but he'd rather stay in the hotel room they bought.

The bag he's directed her two is the one dedicated for all this 'bed' setup. The pump she's found has clearly been used a lot in the past, given the fading around the edges, but it's also pretty dusty.

Under his breath, he murmurs:] I'm starving...

That it's dusty just tells her that he really doesn't go on vacation enough, she might chide him for it if not for how difficult it can be to leave the city in general. New Cloud Bank has so much going on that even Nariko had to think a bit to come up with a vacation idea. ... That's probably incredibly sad, and a testament to her workaholic nature, but still.]

We can get something to eat once this is set up for good!

[She opens the box itself to look over all the parts and, yeah, not too difficult. Interesting, though! It's really a lot harder for him to travel, isn't it.]

Did you know our tickets covered any food we might order? The only thing that is a la carte is booze. [He smirks.] I'm gonna make them regret that policy.

[Or maybe he'll just make up for all the sports martini mothers that eat like birds.

Boxer could have always taken an impromptu vacation anywhere he wanted--he could just leave New Cloudbank's waters and head out for others, but he never really had the heart to leave. Never had the reason to, when he loves his job and the city so much.

Finding someone who he actually has chemistry with, however, is plenty of reason to be adventurous.]

Oh man. [She had no idea about the tickets, but her eyes get wide as she finishes hooking up a component of his pump.] What if they have steak!!!

[They're at the glorious point in their relationship where she's much less concerned with looking 'fat' to him, so while Nariko obviously can't put away as much as Boxer ... She might lose a point of Lady Like tonight, because meat and vegetables always make her happy and it'd be a shame to deny herself that joy if they can have as much as they want!]

If anything we're clearly doing them a favor, all they'll have to do is clean up! [Wasted food is really a sin, okay. She looks over the pump and deems it complete, but it has to hook up to his pool, so she gets up off the bed to figure that out.] I can't remember the last time I was so excited for a vacation.

Ah, steak would be awesome. [But he'll probably take one of each item on the menu...

Hell, he's totally in love with her curves. If her appetite is what contributes to it, then so be it. Eat away.]

[No!!! She took her brother on his field trips and supervised his events!! Okay, that doesn't count, not even a little. She laughs a bit and leaves the hooked up pump to its job.

Hers is to slide right onto his lap and slink her arms around him.] It sounds pretty bad, huh?

[She kisses his jaw and toys with the hair at the back of his neck.] What about you, though? The tour ships don't count.

[He wraps his arms around her loosely, so that he may rock her back and forth affectionately while leaving several tiny kisses against the side of her face.]

I've never stopped being on vacation. [Kiss kiss.] It started the day I hatched and continues today. [Kisskisskiss.]

[He seriously, seriously loves his job(s). So...no. He never felt the need to go on one.]

This is just...super vacation.

[It's impossible to keep a straight face while he smooches her like that, and she ends up giggling.]

You make it sound like a dream. [Except no one's life actually plays out that way, and she knows it. There are always bad parts, unfortunately.

But she's not going to argue with 'super vacation', it sounds pretty cool, all things considered!]

What this really means is that you get to meet Vacation Nariko, and you're going to learn the joy of taking five million pictures and doing adventurous things.

[Which might be saying quite a bit since she's about one of the most physical women one could ever meet. Case in point, now she's trying to match him smooch for smooch.] There will also be sightseeing, spontaneous song and dance, and naked sunbathing.

What, do you think this is some kinda kissing game, Nariko? Because it can be. Still have...yet to figure out how the rules work, but we're pretty sure the goal is to just kiss the other as much as possible while half-heartedly avoiding the others.

Super Vacation!!!!

[Boxer your girl is a dork, one that puts her arms back around him and goes in for a definitive kiss. That game was too hard, and the 'kiss until one of us can't breathe anymore' game is a lot easier.]

[Boxer laughs--he loves it, all of her and the dorkiness. His arms tighten around her and he indulges in the kiss, but he'll have to cut it off when she's losing air because he can hold his for a lot longer. As much as he'd love to sit here and make out with her, he'd really like to get his 'bed' set up.]

Could you get the sink hose from the bag? Just have to fill it up and it'll be ready.

[They'll have a lot of time for making out, but she does like kissing up to the limit, it's both dizzying and fun.]

Alright, alright, if I absolutely must leave your embrace!

[He gets one more little peck before she gets herself up somewhat carefully and goes back to his travel bag to find the thing that looks like a hose.] You remember all of this and I'm pretty sure that I have to buy a new toothbrush once we got off the boat ...

[This trip will be full of makeout sessions, that's for sure. She's not missing out on rare opportunities here.]

I've never packed before, so I was pretty neurotic in making sure I brought everything I needed... [He looks over at his bags, one meant for toiletries, soap, skin care, and another for his personal effects, like ID, money, insurance cards, blah blah blah.

His "overpacking" looks like efficiency packing, on the grounds that he's brought exactly zero (0) clothes.]

Oh, don't let me forget! [Because while she'll remember almost immediately the next morning when her mouth feels gross and Boxer won't be able to kiss her at all, it's the kind of thing she habitually forgets for some cruel reason. She finds the hose while he's talking but ... She's not exactly understanding how it's supposed to be filled with water. Does it hook in there and basically filter it? These are things she has to know, since Nariko doesn't intend to make this their only vacation.]

Neurosis is only bad when it doesn't benefit you!

[All of those things are pretty small and can therefore look small in bags, and they don't take the same shape as clothes. It's pretty much nothing compared to the gigantic suitcase she brought - it's a third of Boxer's size and it barely has everything she wanted to bring along.

[Yeah, sure. It works on RP logic and whatever engineering involved that this writer doesn't feel like working out. But basically it's long enough to reach from the bathroom to where he placed his bed.]
