Carnelian's scrutiny is enough to make Champagne stop panicking, at the very least. She's still entirely uncertain and unsettled by this gem, but it makes more sense for this to not be a diamond. How could it be one? Carnelian's right, it can't be.
She takes the bubbled gem and holds it in one hand, her other hand never leaving her weapon.
"You're right." She knows she's right, no gem comes alone. It wasn't how Homeworld worked, they always sent teams. Always. She moves around in the wreckage, surveying in the opposite direction from Carnelian. They're not far from each other in a space this small, but there shouldn't be any danger just yet. Just gems without forms.
But she finds nothing, and that's all the more unsettling to her. Why would a lone gem come here if not being pursued? She moves back to the hole in the ship so she can look up at the sky once more.
"There should be others, why aren't there others?" Her tone is worried, none of this adds up.
