No, [She's reaching down a bit to guide one of those tentacles that's taken up on her ankle up onto her lap.] I earned that title by placing first in a Jeopardy style tournament where all of the categories related back to foreign, old, and modern cinema!

[Damn, no sex talk? He can sense a "shut up and watch the movie" when he hears one. And he doesn't really know what this would be considered, all he knows is that he's pretty content with simply enjoying his time with her.

[It's a 'shut up and watch the movie' as well as a 'we should go at least one night without sex', and the latter applies even though they've obviously got a natural, nonsexual chemistry just as much as a sexual one.

To be fair the movie is very good and thoughtful, the type with a little symbolism, but easily accessible enough that the twists are all rewarding, good fun. Nariko gently coaxes Lukas into her palms and gently rubs her fingers along the length, making sure to be especially delicate between the suckers. She even makes it a point to rub the outer rims of them. And because they're so massive it seems better to take them section by section, starting from tip and working back towards his body.

Hopefully she'll have gotten to every single one before the end of the movie.]

[He's not keeping count, too engrossed by the movie to give it any mind other than the fact that they all feel really, really good when they're finished with the movie and she's done massaging them. Boxer lets out a content sigh, only now realizing that Nariko is quite literally buried in tentacles.]

Oh, I--sorry about that...

[She looks...awfully comfortable, though...]

[It really is a great flick, and she's got a lot of feelings about it!! None so great that she doesn't notice her own absorption by tentacle. It really doesn't bother her much, just makes it harder to keep track of which she's already touched and which ones still need a little loving.]

Oh, no! [She tries to wave a hand to show him it's nothing.]

Wasn't it cool how it was her dad all along?! I mean, I sort of saw it coming but that was one hell of a left turn! I didn't even notice at first!

I thought that it was going to be that...but I kept dismissing it because of the plot hole.

[He kneads his hands awkwardly.]

The way they write the characters--she would have had to been born even before her mom met her dad.

Plus, heat reactive paper doesn't work like that.

I think that's kind of what they were going for, though, that there was some timey-wimey thing as far as souls being in different bodies and such.

[What's with the hand gesture. It kind of stands out so she gives him a sort of 'are you okay?' head tilt. Does he want some space or something?]

[He just doesn't want to come off as if he hated what they watched! He thought it was just okay, but he doesn't want to complain...]

That's not an excuse. Making things confusing doesn't it work better...

[He is a little disappointed it's over though. Should they watch another one...?]

[He definitely seems like he wasn't impressed or otherwise thought it was just sort of passing so, really, either way is fine. It doesn't help that she's a fan of this specific director and she likes weirdly open-ended, confusing films that are nuts. Mullholland Drive meets Requiem of A Dream type shit.

She laughs a bit, though not in a mean way. For a guy who seems ambivalent about movies he's definitely got an opinion! It's nice. Even if he doesn't get wrapped up in it like her she doesn't have to worry about him being bored out of his skull.]

Okay, how about 'Vanilla Sky', then? It's got the crazy plot twists but it's a little clear and less confusing.

[This could easily turn into a marathon because she'll have recommendations that go in every direction.]

[He smiles, a little relieved at her response.]

Yeah, I'd like that. Do you know if it's on demand?

[She wouldn't have recommended that specific film otherwise. Nari gives his tentacles one more loving stroke before she goes for the remote.]

Also, it's Tom Cruise, who I can't pretend to find super attractive, but he's got the jaw thing going on. It's aesthetically pleasing.

[Boxer shrugs. He's a little nervous about critiquing movies because he doesn't know them that well, but analyzing the attractiveness of people? Any day. Have the remote, babe.]

A little squinty for my tastes. I like bigger eyes.

You're right. [She had never realized that about him, but Boxer makes a very good point.]

[After she's found the page for the movie she looks at him and makes her eyes slightly wider, like the playful fool she rarely allows herself to be.]

Yeah.

[It takes him a second to realize she wants him to look down at her, but when he does, he cracks a smile.]

Kitten, you don't need to endear yourself any more than you already have.

[And he leans down to give her a kiss on the forehead.]

[That she manages to stay still for that kiss while giggling is a little impressive.]

That's good to know, but it never hurts to gain points, right?

[She goes ahead and starts the movie, and her hands go back to massaging his tentacles.] I love Cameron Diaz in this ...

[Wistful sigh.]

You broke the scoreboard a while ago.

[He reaches out for her hand. Can he hold her hand while they watch the movie?]

[But she really is touched by that, and when he reaches out she gives her hand over immediately, and even scoots a little closer. Hand holding is perfect for movies!! No need to even worry about it. The other arm drapes over his tentacles so that they shift and wiggle over that one, if they like.]

[They will. Oh, they totally will, and he won't even realize it.

And even better news: he actually likes this movie a lot better! If the occasional chuckles are any indication.]

Nariko glances a bit at him a little into it and beams. He likes it!!! Oh, she's going to enjoy this even more, now! ... Now hopefully the twists aren't too weird for him, because it definitely gets dramatic after a certain point.]
